Mougins le Haut - Place des Arcades
If you are looking for a well-priced apartment for sale South of France, and more particularly on the French Riviera, Mougins le Haut may well be the place for you. It is a relatively recent development located next to the 550 hectares of the Valmasque nature area to the southeast of the old village of Mougins. The project was first mooted in the 1970’s and given form by the well-known architect, André Minangoy (also responsible for Marina Baie des Anges). Serious development got underway in the 80’s, with the creation of apartments in the Place des Arcades et Place du Château, and finished just a few years ago. Mougins le Haut is built in the form of a typical hilltop Provencal village on a 37 hectares site and enjoys a unique panorama, on one side overlooking the sea and on the other the hills towards Grasse. Inhabited mostly by young professionals, often working in Sophia Antipolis, Mougins le Haut now has approximately 4,600 inhabitants, many shops, several associations, town hall annex, a post office, police station, two schools, a nursery, a sports center with tennis courts and swimming pool, a library and a youth center. A large effort has been to make the village an agreeable, family-oriented and secure place to live with its well-maintained gardens, security cameras and good bus connections etc. A particularly attractive feature is the extensive presence of pine and other trees, which gives a very relaxing feel to the village. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
